It was Crystal and Mathieu's dream to get married at Pretty Place Chapel but after many of their friends and family in Houston suffered damages to their homes from Hurricane Harvey, they realized that having everyone travel for a destination wedding was just not going to be in their cards. The mountains of South and North Carolina still hold a very special place in Crystal's heart so she wanted to incorporate the location and have Engagement photos to share with everyone back home.

Crystal's vision for her Pretty Place Engagement Session included sunrise over the mountains but with both of their busy schedules they were only able to fly in for one night. Anyone who chases mountain sunrises knows that having one day to catch the perfect light is very risky, we often have heavy fog or rain that will completely obscure the sky. Crystal and Mathieu knew that we were taking a risk but they decided to follow their hearts and go along for the adventure. They flew into Greenville after dark the night before and were on the plane back to Houston by noon the next day and the sunrise could not have been better.
