Katti and Preston are more adventurous than most, but so are we.  We set out this past winter with them to ascend nearly 2000 feet to the top of a mountain during their engagement session with smiles amongst us all throughout the duration of the hike and tears of joy once summiting the top, or maybe it was just the extreme cold, but breathtaking none the less.  Pardon the pun:)

   So there couldn't have been any other way to have started their wedding day then on top of a mountain. With mist curling over the Blue Ridge Parkway and morning light spilling out from the blanket of fog, and out steps Katti and Preston from their car to great the day with their first look wrapped in clouds.  As the clouds cleared, the day set out to be just what this magical couple dreamed of on their wedding day.  Descending down from the mountain top to Sylva to gather the wedding party and enjoy the rest of sunrise from the vintage church by Lake Junaluska and then off to the church for the main event.  Set back on a hill with a dramatic mountain landscape behind, Webster Baptist Church has the allure of stepping back in time as if placed into a black and white film.  Very fitting scene to set the tone for this mountain wedding and this adventure loving couple.

   And their story doesn't end their, just days later and around 100 miles away, are paths crossed again.  While photographing another couple in Boone, NC, we were on the Blue Ridge Parkway again.  A completely random turn of events led us to all finding each other on another mountain top.  Just before sunset while sitting by a lake waiting for the right light, Katti and Preston pull up beside us in sheer awe as the mountains had led us to one another once again.  Such a heart felt surprise seeing them on their honeymoon drive up the Parkway.  So for the first time ever, we have some honeymoon photos to share as well.  This just go to show you the not all who wander are lost, especially when you have friends that are down for an adventure too.
